Chemical weapons left in Wuhan to be destroyed

Japan this week will begin destroying stockpiles of chemical weapons abandoned by the Japanese military in the Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei province at the end of World War II, the Cabinet Office said Tuesday. Using a mobile disposal facility, Japan aims to render harmless by the end of the month about 120 chemical weapons stored in the city and surrounding area. (The Japan Times)
