🌏 The United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific (UNRCPD) is looking for a dynamic and driven Political Affairs Officer to join our team for an initial period of one year.

📌 In this role, you will play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly across three core areas:

1. Programme Leadership — Serve as the focal point for the Conventional Arms pillar of UNRCPD's Programme of Work and lead the Asia-Pacific implementation of the UN PoA and GFA projects.
2. Political Analysis & Advisory — Monitor national and regional political developments, analyze trends, and provide timely advice and inputs to senior officials, field missions, and UN agencies.
3. Coordination & Reporting — Maintain active engagement with UN sectors, international organizations, and governments; provide technical support for the office's mandates; and collect and analyze data to produce reports and visualizations that drive evidence-based decision-making.

This role reports to the Director of UNRCPD under the coordination of the Deputy Director (Programmes) and is based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
